Welcome to our first day of meeting for RY 2009-2010. Once
again, please be reminded of our Rotary Theme “THE FUTURE OF
ROTARY IS IN YOUR HANDS”. Let us start this Rotary year with a
singing enthusiasm! Let us maintain more than just a fair
attendance in our meeting and projects. By these, we can have
a fruitful Rotary Year. Thanks to all Northerners and
Anns for your cooperation's, for those who contributed lechon
and drinks to our Turnover Ceremonies and Charter Anniversary
last June 7, 2009 which was very successful.

July 8 2009 |
Last Saturday, July 4, 2009, we attended the
36th Induction and Turnover Ceremonies of Rotary Club of
Kabankalan. Thanks to PP/Sec. Louie Gonzaga and Dir. Jinno
Garcia for accompanying me in that celebration. Yesterday, we
also turnover English and Mathematics books to our adopted
schools Medalia Integrated School, Araneta Street Barangay
Pahanocoy, and Rodolfo A. Medel Sr. Elem. School, Barangay
Tangub Bacolod City.

Fellow Northerners let us welcome our guest speakers for this
afternoon, Mr. Jose Tan and Ms. Lilivic Gatdula– Internal
Revenue Officers both from Bureau of Internal Revenue. They
will give us information about their plans and programs for
this year.

It is now very clear that people who become Rotarians enjoy
their life as a Rotary member. Some of those who resigned
realized that they are incomplete not being a part/member of
Rotary anymore. Let us once again welcome Mr. Benjie Castañeda
and Mr. Jojo Quilop who will be inducted this afternoon.

Our attendance groupings as well as the guidelines /
attendance contest is now in our Kahirupan which starts this
month of August. Please try to see which group you belong and
who is the assigned leader of the said
group. Our seating arrangement starts also today as our new
policy.

August 19, 2009 |
So far we have done our first night fellowship last Saturday
August 15, 2009 at Ayala North Point. Some Rotary Anns were
present also in the said affair. It was a night of FUN, MUSIC
and DANCING not to mention the mouth watering foods courtesy
of our very own Vice President Roy Yanson. The much
anticipated 2nd fellowship will be on September 25, 26 and 27
and the venue will be at Dauin Beach Resort, Negros Oriental
owned by the Family of Vice President
Roy Yanson.

I would like to
thank everyone for the strong support in attendance every
meeting for the past two months now which is very impressive.
I would like to encourage everyone to keep this loyalty and
commitment to our club for the success of all our endeavors.
Thank you also to our team leaders Director Kendall Ang, Jojo
Bonnin and Jinno Garcia who have done their best in assigning
Rotarians in every programs and meetings.

We concluded our
second fellowship last Friday, August 4, 2009 at PP Ramon Uy
residence. Everybody was satisfied of the foods and enjoyed
the songs from various Rotarians like PP Ed Ordoñez, PP Benjie
Castañeda and Dir. Manolet Puentevella. Thanks to PP Biboy
Jocson for donating one lechon for his extended birthday party
last August 21, 2009.

Our Rotex Inbound
Andre de Paula, a Brazilian citizen, arrived last Saturday,
September 12, 2009 and he will join us this afternoon to give
a talk. Thank you to Ann President Emily Jocson for her time
to be with me and Ann Amy in welcoming him at Silay City
Airport.

September 30, 2009 |
Last September 20,
2009 we had successfully conducted our Medical Mission at
Purok San Mateo, Sta. Clara, Bacolod City. There are 302
beneficiaries both from adult and Pedia were able to avail of
the service. Special thanks to PP Biboy Jocson for extending
his support in facilitating volunteer Doctors from different
hospitals and for assisting us during that day.

Despite of the rain last Saturday, October 3, 2009 the Fun Run
Activity of our Rotaractors headed by Pres. Irene Gargaceran
was very successful. Thanks to Dir.Jojo Bonnin, Ann Tetet
Bonnin and Dir. Romy Lopez for participating the said event.

The Multi-District Eye, Ear and Dental Screening Project with
Cataract Foundation and sister clubs: Rotary Club of
Tagbilaran, Rotary Club of Parañaque Midtown, and
Rotary Club of Canterbury, Australia was successfully ended
last October 16, 2009.

part of ROTARY NEGROS PROJECT together with Governor Edgar Sy
we were able to donate 14,000 cefuroxime vials of medicines to
Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Hospital, Provincial
Government District Hospital and Kabankalan City Hospital last
Saturday, January 16, 2010.

Career Fair conducted ay University of St. la Salle last
January 26, 2010 was participated by more or less 2000
students from different schools. Congratulations and thanks to

Last Feb. 9, 2010 eleven members of Rotarians went to Manila
to attend Rotary International (RI) incoming President’s

The 3 day District Conference for all Rotarians. Has
successfully ended last Feb. 27, 2010. I would like to thank all

On April 17, 2010 we will be
hosting the District Assembly (DISTAS) at Natures Village Resort
in Talisay City. I would like to request everyone to support this
event. All incoming officers for Rotary Year 2010-2011 are obliged
to attend.
Assessment is P450.00 and free cocktail in the evening with
acoustic band courtesy of Incomin0g President Roy Yanson.

Hotel sponsored by the Integrated Bar of the Philippines. We are
invited and the registration fee is P150.00 for the snacks.
