What is a dream for millions of Filipinos is now a reality for the 7 family beneficiaries who received their ERH-Gawad Kalinga homes after completing their 200 hours sweat equity component last February 16,2008.

This Rotary Village is situated on a 3 hectare lot donated by the family of RCBN Past President Willie Villar wife Agnes. The Rotary Club of Bacolod North contributed US$ 4,500.00 plus RCBN member Roy Yanson’s family contributed an additional two more houses making the total 28 in all. The Rotary Clubs in California are the RCBN’s sister club Rotary Club of Montecito as well as the Rotary Clubs of Carpinteria, Rotary Club of Santa Ynez Valley and Rotary Club of Solvang raised a total of US$ 20,000.00 for the project to be completed.
Another sister club of RCBN in Malaysia, Rotary Club of Kuching, D3310 also contributed US$500.00 for the project.
Plans are also underway for a future water system to address the needs of the community.
