Distribution of Books, Medical Equipment, Computers
From Rotary World Help Network, Vancouver, British
Columbia, Canada, we receive for distribution a 40 foot container on
wednesday June 27, 2007. It was a huge assortment of Library books,
Childrens books, Medical & Nursing (School) books, a variety of
hospital goods, 35 complete computer sets, printers and accesories,
wheelchairs, bathing weelchairs, Rollators, Childrens school desks,
office desks, chairs, white board, filing cabinets and etc.

Matching Grant # 62005
Rotary Club of Bacolod North as Host Cosponsor and the district 1400
(Finland) as International Cosponsor for
funding to help provide/improve literacy in pre-schools and upgrade
classroom facilities of 38 day care centers
in Negros Occidental. The award is in the amount of US$ 17,400.00 (PhP
870,000.00). An inventarisation is goin on with the Rotary Clubs in
the Province for qualifying day-care centers. The total Project cost
is US$ 38,000.00 (PhP 1,900,000) whitch is reached thru the district
5730 (DDF US$ 3,000) district 9710 (DDF US$ 3,000) and district 1400
US$ 6,400 in cash and US$ 5,000 from the DDF.

A pending Matching Grant is ongoing
For Providing and Purifying of drinking water for the 2000+ students
public elementary school Banago I, Barangay Mandalagan, Bacolod City,
including a refilling station for the school area composed of the
lowest or non permanent income class families.This to make an ongoing
Feeding Program for the Malnourished/Underweight students self
sustainable.The feeding programm as of now is privately funded by
Rotarians and Friends in California, Rotary District 5240

Project Shunt
This is a joint project of the Rotary Club of Bacolod North and the
Sisterclubs of Rotary Club of Paranaque Midtown and the Rotary Club of
Paranaque. The Rotary Club of Bacolod North will identify the
beneficiaries and will shoulder the cost of the operation of about P
5,000.00. Our sisterclub provide the shunt tubing which cost about P
20,000.00

Project Cross Eye
This project aims to identify public school grade school students who
cannot afford an operation to correct this eye problem. Once
identified, the possible beneficiary will be diagnosed to see if the
problem can still be corrected.
